Double-TakeRecovery made easy. When recoverability matters, depend on Double-Take for Windows for continuous data replication and full-server protection. Double-Take® for Windows from Double-Take® Software makes data replication and recovery easy by providing real-time backup and automatic failover capabilities for your physical and virtual servers. No matter what Windows application you rely on, Double-Take is the affordable answer for disaster recovery, high availability and centralized backup.
Four clicks from fortified Double-Take provides protection far beyond periodic back up by capturing byte-level changes in real time and replicating them to your alternate server, either locally or across the globe. Let Double-Take Application Manager configure protection and do a pre-flight check in just four clicks. To make migrations easy, and recovery even easier, Double-Take's Full-Server Failover feature allows you to failover your entire system, including the OS, applications and data. The Double-Take Server Recovery Option (SRO) eliminates impractical restoration scenarios by allowing you to restore multiple servers from an image server with one-click. Double-Take can protect Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Oracle, IIS, File and Print (including NAS), and more. Because Double-Take is application and hardware independent, you can perform data replication from any hardware to any hardware, between vendors, SAN, LAN, NAS, and even between Windows® operating systems. Double-Take data replication software is one of the few data replication products to have achieved Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003 certification at all levels. It delivers better data protection than hardware-based solutions, and it costs tens of thousands less. Want to know more? Download our Double-Take for Windows v5.0 feature guide. Choose the Proven Leader in Data Replication Software More than 12,000 companies from the SME to the Fortune 500 protect their data and applications with Double-Take data replication software. Industry giants such as Microsoft®, Dell® and Hewlett-Packard® have chosen Double-Take data replication software as the software engine driving their high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Compare it to the competition like they did, and you'll choose Double-Take data replication software too
How Double-Take Works
A small software module is installed on each source and target server. An easy-to-use client application lets you define which data will be replicated and where the copies will be stored. The initial mirroring operation can be performed while the source servers are active. After this simple configuration and initial mirroring are completed, operations are automatic and transparent.
The failover module resides on the target server, and continually monitors the
source servers. In the event of a server failure the target server can assume
the names and IP adresses of the failed servers (in addition to its original
name), and invoke scripts to restart applications.
Improved Data Protection
Double-Take protects data in real-time, reducing your exposure to data loss from a full day's data to seconds or less.
Disaster Recovery Protection
Up-to-the-minute offsite protection is an important part of a your business continuity strategy. Double-Take works efficiently over slower WAN links.
Reduced Downtime
Failover is fast and automatic. Your exposure to downtime is reduced or eliminated.
Enhanced Data Compression
Three levels of compression introduced in Version 4.4 allow more data to be replicated and increase performance and scalability.
Cross-Platform Data Interchange
Data can be mirrored and replicated between your Double-Take machines running on different OS platforms (NT/W2K).
Enhances Backup Performance
By giving your existing third-party backup system access to open files, Double-Take improves backup reliability. In addition, the option of centralizing backup operations on the target server simplifies management, improves performance, and reduces cost of ownership.
Select the amount of bandwidth you want to
use
Double-Take for NT allows you to select the amount of bandwidth you would like to dedicate to replication. If you have a 128K link you can limit replication to a maximum of 64K reserving the remainder for standard network traffic.
